Since 1998, DMT Petrologic has been supporting clients worldwide with the processing and reprocessing of seismic datasets. Our team of experienced geophysicists possesses particular expertise in onshore seismic surveys and in the processing of complex historical data. Using state-of-the-art processing techniques, we extract additional information from existing datasets and gain new insights into the subsurface.
Our projects cover applications onshore, offshore and in transitional zones. We combine decades of experience with innovative technologies to deliver reliable results, even under challenging geological conditions.
We offer integrated solutions for every stage of seismic data processing:
Through the intelligent combination of standardised workflows and specially developed tools, we enhance data quality, interpretability and efficiency throughout the entire processing workflow.
Accurate depth imaging requires robust velocity models. DMT Petrologic has extensive experience in isotropic and anisotropic modelling, including VTI (Vertical Transverse Isotropy), TTI (Tilted Transverse Isotropy) and STI (Salt-Related Transverse Isotropy) models.
We use state-of-the-art techniques for migration and depth imaging:
These technologies enable a significantly improved representation of complex geological structures and support the precise evaluation of deposits and exploration targets.
As a member of the Full-Wave Consortium, DMT Petrologic utilises state-of-the-art 3D full-waveform inversion (FWI) techniques. This involves the use of Shearwater’s Reveal and DUG’s Insight platforms.
FWI utilises the full information contained in seismic wavefields to generate high-resolution velocity models of the subsurface. This enables even complex geological structures to be mapped more accurately and reduces uncertainties in exploration and field development.
We combine geophysical expertise, many years of project experience and innovative technologies to deliver high-performance solutions for subsurface exploration.
Seismic data processing involves the processing, analysis and optimisation of measurement data from seismic surveys. The aim is to produce accurate subsurface images for exploration, reservoir assessment and infrastructure projects.
Thanks to modern algorithms and powerful computational methods, existing datasets can provide new information that was not available at the time of their original processing.
FWI is an advanced technique for generating high-resolution velocity models of the subsurface. It utilises the full information contained in seismic waves and significantly improves the accuracy of depth imaging.
Deep imaging is used in oil and gas exploration, geothermal energy, CO₂ storage, mineral exploration, and in infrastructure and energy projects.
DMT Petrologic utilises, amongst other techniques, Kirchhoff migration, Gaussian beam migration, wave equation migration, reverse-time migration (RTM), common reflection angle migration (CRAM), 3D-GRT and extended Gaussian wave migration (eGWM). These methods enable the precise mapping of complex geological structures.
