Our focus is particularly on the service areas of mining planning, production, equipment and plant sizing, and performance assessment. In doing so, we take into account safety requirements as well as geotechnical, hydrogeological, economic, socio-economic and environmental conditions.
To ensure we can provide practical and flexible planning solutions at all times for every phase of a mining project, we work with established software solutions such as SURPAC®, Minex®, Datamine®, MineSight® and VULCAN®.
This includes, amongst other things, selecting the optimal mining method, carrying out conceptual and preliminary planning for the mining operation, and selecting and sizing equipment and plant. Drawing on many years of international experience, we support project developers in carefully assessing and balancing all factors relating to engineering, operations, economic viability and the environment.
Once the mineral reserves have been determined, the planning of the mining layout, the sequence of extraction and the organisation of subsequent operations plays a decisive role in ensuring economic viability, minimising operating costs and maximising the utilisation of the deposit’s contents.
Our expertise ensures that all relevant aspects – such as safety, product quality, extraction, transport, ventilation, crushing and stockpiling – are taken into account in the planning of the mining layout and extraction sequence. In doing so, we select only modern and efficient equipment and plant that are optimally tailored to the specific requirements of the deposit and the mining method.
