Sustainable solutions for groundwater and water resources
Request a Consultation on Hydrogeology
Hydrogeology forms the basis for sustainable decision-making in infrastructure projects, in the mining sector, and in public and industrial water supply.
We support our clients with hydrogeological investigations, reliable forecasts and targeted approval strategies. Our aim is to assess the impact on the water balance at an early stage, minimise risks and ensure compliance with water law requirements.
We develop practical decision-making frameworks, particularly for construction projects, water abstraction, dewatering operations or the return of water to the natural water cycle. Our impact forecasts range from initial plausibility assessments to detailed forecasts based on extensive investigations, monitoring programmes and numerical groundwater models.
To ensure a reliable assessment of the hydrogeological situation, we plan and carry out comprehensive preliminary investigations. These include:
The data obtained forms the basis for analyses, forecasts and numerical groundwater models. By utilising modern digital methods, we combine hydrogeological expertise with innovative tools to ensure efficient and transparent project management.
Using numerical groundwater models, we analyse complex interactions between structures, aquifers and water resources. This enables us to identify and assess potential impacts on water levels, flow directions and protected resources at an early stage.
We present the results in hydrogeological reports, technical papers and statements for planning and consent procedures. Furthermore, we assist our clients in preparing applications under water law and provide expert, solution-oriented support during consultations with the relevant authorities.

Hydrogeological investigations are always required whenever there is any interference with the groundwater. This occurs, for example, in the extraction of drinking water and raw materials, as well as in construction projects.
Hydraulic tests and measurement data are used to determine the current state. Based on this, forecasts can assess potential changes in groundwater levels and flow conditions. This provides the basis for evaluating the intervention and, building on this, for developing a plan that is eligible for approval and environmentally sound.
Groundwater can have a significant impact on construction projects. Hydrogeological investigations help to identify risks at an early stage and establish a sound basis for planning.
Yes, we carry out pumping tests and the relevant preliminary tests. To this end, we have a range of pumps and digital measuring equipment available for recording pumping rates and water levels. The pumping tests are carried out in accordance with DIN standards and the technical regulations of the DVGW, and are evaluated using recognised methods.
Yes, we have a wide range of probes and analysis methods at our disposal for this purpose. For example, we offer gamma-ray surveys, electrical resistivity measurements, density measurements, porosity determination and calibre logs. Furthermore, wall thickness measurements, flowmeter surveys and camera inspections can be carried out to assess the condition of groundwater monitoring points and wells.
