Engineering Performance for complex raw materials projects
Contact the Central Asia/Kazakhstan team
Kazakhstan and Central Asia possess significant reserves of raw materials and face the challenge of further developing their evaluation, development and utilisation in a way that is compatible with international standards. DMT supports clients in the region by providing independent engineering consultancy, geological expertise and solutions for the technical assessment and safety of mining projects.
The focus is on providing a sound basis for decision-making: from deposit assessment and geological modelling through to geotechnical analyses, monitoring and internationally recognised reporting standards.
DMT is active in the region, particularly in the mining and raw materials sectors. Our services combine geological and mining expertise with geotechnical modelling, digital data processing and international project financing.
In collaboration with Kazgeology, DMT is supporting the further development of deposit assessment in Kazakhstan. The aim is to assess mineral resources and reserves in accordance with internationally recognised CRIRSCO standards, thereby improving comparability for international investors and project partners.
In this way, DMT helps to present technical information in a clear and accessible manner and to strengthen the basis for well-informed investment decisions.
DMT provided support for the technical assessment of underground mining operations at the Vozkhod chromite mine in Kazakhstan. The focus was on geotechnical parameters, the stability of the mine workings and the evaluation of the selected mining method.
DMT created a 2D geotechnical finite element model and carried out deformation analyses. The results were used to assess the technical feasibility and stability of the mine. The consultancy work helped to secure funding for the restructuring and further development of the mine.
With DMT SAFEGUARD, we offer monitoring solutions for geotechnical and structural changes. Depending on the project requirements, this system can be used to monitor, amongst other things, slope movements, settlement and changes to buildings or mining installations.
DMT combines international experience with project-based collaboration on the ground. Its regional activities are carried out through the DMT GROUP’s international network, direct project contacts and participation in relevant industry events such as MINEX Central Asia and Mining and Metals Central Asia.
Our experts work in an interdisciplinary manner and tailor technical solutions to the specific geological, mining and economic conditions. Transparency, traceability and cooperation based on partnership are at the heart of our approach.
DMT supports project developers, mining companies, public institutions and financial partners by providing independent consultancy and interdisciplinary engineering expertise. From the initial geological assessment through to the technical validation of a mining project, DMT develops solutions that combine specialist knowledge, digital expertise and practical project experience.
DMT is active in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, particularly in the fields of deposit assessment, geology, geotechnical engineering, mining, 3D modelling and monitoring. Our services also include knowledge transfer and support with international assessment standards.
Yes. DMT, in collaboration with Kazgeology, is supporting the further development of deposit assessment in Kazakhstan in accordance with internationally recognised CRIRSCO standards. This involves, amongst other things, geological data, laboratory analyses, 3D modelling and the training of specialist staff.
With DMT SAFEGUARD, DMT offers monitoring solutions for geotechnical and structural changes. Depending on the project, these can be used, for example, to record and assess slope movements, settlement and deformations.
Yes. The collaboration with Kazgeology is an example of how DMT also supports public geological organisations in the further development of assessment methods, data structures, laboratory processes and specialist expertise.
For an initial assessment, clients can contact DMT with details of the project location, raw material, scope of the project and consultancy requirements. DMT will then assess which specialist areas and services are suitable for the project.
