Nuclear Technology and Radiation Protection

The decommissioning, dismantling and disposal of nuclear facilities require the highest level of technical expertise and in-depth regulatory know-how. DMT supports operators and applicants with its interdisciplinary expertise throughout all project phases.

The legally mandated phase-out of the peaceful use of nuclear energy in Germany presents operators of nuclear facilities with challenging technical, regulatory and organisational tasks. The focus is on the decommissioning of existing plants, the safe management of radioactive waste and the dismantling of commercial nuclear power stations. At the same time, issues relating to final disposal and the retrieval of stored radioactive waste are becoming increasingly important.

DMT supports operators and applicants in national and international markets in tackling these challenges in a structured manner. Our range of services extends from technical consultancy and planning to support with licensing procedures under nuclear and radiation protection legislation. We cover the entire spectrum of nuclear and radiation protection procedures and support projects through the conceptual, design and implementation planning phases.

“When it comes to the long-term tasks of nuclear technology and radiation protection, the focus is always on the safety of people and the environment, alongside regulatory safety and precise technical implementation.”
