Energy Audits and Implementation of Energy Management Systems

The implementation of a management system and the subsequent monitoring required are a challenge and, depending on the size of the organisation, can lead to capacity conflicts. EMAS: Environmental and Energy Management with a High Degree of Transparency

The Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) is the European Union’s environmental management system. EMAS goes beyond many traditional management systems and combines environmental performance, legal certainty, transparency and continuous improvement.

With the introduction of EMAS, environmental performance is systematically recorded, compliance with environmental legislation is verified, and key environmental indicators are validated by independent environmental verifiers. The results are documented in a published and regularly updated environmental statement.
