VIB3D, the new IoT sensor for real-time monitoring of vibrations, shocks and movements

The cost-effective VIB3D IoT sensor has been developed for the real-time monitoring of all types of vibrations and movements, e.g. from machinery and plant or infrastructure assets. The recorded data and status information are transmitted wirelessly (Wi-Fi / 4G) to the cloud-based DMT SAFEGUARD database, where project-specific post-processing and data fusion from various sensors take place automatically.

Customers can access the database from anywhere in the world and view all data via an intuitive web interface. This interface also facilitates data visualisation, device management and parameter configuration. Alarm and notification functions enable immediate notification of any events that occur.

Thanks to the use of calibrated MEMS sensors, the VIB3D is the ideal device for assessing vibrations in accordance with international vibration standards and for determining the area of impact. The applications for this compact and cost-effective IoT monitoring sensor are diverse, and the VIB3D is already in use in numerous international projects. For example, it is used to monitor wind turbines, reservoirs, bridges and chimneys, as well as for other infrastructure and environmental monitoring applications.
