DMT and Mobaro set new standards for maintenance and monitoring of amusement park rides with seamless integration of their technologies
Amusement parks are faced with the challenge of efficiently ensuring the safety and availability of their rides while at the same time increasing their complexity. This poses challenges for operators, especially during ongoing operations. With RideGuard, DMT has created a practical solution for the technical monitoring of rides that is already being used successfully in several amusement parks. Based on state-of-the-art IoT sensor technology, the system analyses the ride characteristics of the ride in real time. Thanks to the intelligent evaluation of the collected data by a specially trained
AI, DMT RideGuard reacts to any anomalies and informs the operator immediately.
"Artificial intelligence already plays a central role in the maintenance of systems and processes – now AI is also conquering amusement park rides. With the combination of AI-supported monitoring
and digital maintenance management, we are setting new standards for the safety and availability of amusement rides. With RideGuard, we are leaders in AI monitoring of amusement park rides. Thanks to seamless integration into the Mobaro maintenance management platform, we are significantly improving effectiveness, efficiency and usability," says Dr Maik Tiedemann, CEO of DMT and CEO of the TÜV NORD Business Unit Energy & Resources.
Mobaro helps ride operators ensure safer operations, smoother workflows, and better guest experiences by digitizing and connecting safety, maintenance and operations - trusted by attractions worldwide. By linking the two systems, operators can not only recognise deviations immediately, but also document and control the corresponding measures directly in the same system - a decisive step towards greater safety and efficiency.
The first user of the new complete solution is Karls Erlebnis-Dorf in Rövershagen. Previously, the park relied on both systems independently of each other. Now DMT RideGuard will be made available via the Mobaro software without any further effort.
Maximilian Mairinger, Head of Experience & Events at Karls Erlebnis-Dorf, sees this as a great opportunity for the park: "At Karls, guest safety is our top priority. By integrating DMT RideGuard into Mobaro, we can spot irregularities in real time and act immediately, giving our teams the best possible support to keep our rides safe and reliable across all locations."
The integrated solution will be presented by DMT at the TÜV NORD GROUP booth and the Mobaro stand at IAAPA Expo Europe 2025 in Barcelona for the first time.
