A main portion of pollution in coke plants are emitted through the coke oven doors due to leakages.
Preconditions for low emissions through the coke oven doors are:
- Plane jamb, no notches
- Easily cleanable
- Adaption to on bended jambs brings flexibility and optimum bearing force
The door sealing system, developed by DMT, fulfills the requirements above and therewith lowers the emissions at coke oven doors to a minimum.
The door seal itself is able to adapt to the expansion/contraction of the door (e.g. because of thermal expansion), due its special and flexible construction. Flexible diaphragm seals allow compensation of door bending.
