Sustainable raw material value chains for South Africa and Tanzania

Recently the Republic of South Africa welcomed DMT at its Embassy premises in Berlin. His Excellency Ambassador Stone Sizani and DMT Director of Innovation & EU Relations, Dr Michael Haschke, spoke about EU investment opportunities for South Africa within the framework of the Horizon Europe project AfricaMaVal, with particular focus on critical raw material projects such as graphite and REE.

Ambassador Sizani assured his support for the AfricaMaVal project (https://africamaval.eu/) which is being coordinated by the French Geological Survey BRGM. Within this project DMT GROUP is responsible for the analysis of critical raw material value chains in South Africa and Tanzania, with particular focus on identifying and analyzing 10 potential investment cases in sustainable mineral raw materials and processing projects in both South Africa and Tanzania.

Over the next 3.5 years, DMT GROUPs expertise will help to close gaps in the supply chain of mineral raw materials for Europe and Africa.
