Mine digitalization is key to achieving this goal and Mixed Reality (MR) is a promising way to enable operational efficiencies. To this end, HoloMine was set up with the aim of using existing MR hardware to develop solutions for selected underground mining issues, including enterprise data infrastructure. Pilot solutions from this EIT RawMaterials project will demonstrate that mixed reality solutions are enabling rapid shaft and roadway inspection, machine maintenance, 3D visualization, and decision-making.
