The Case-In International Engineering Championship is the largest practice-focused project which is arranged as a competition in case solving (practical tasks) between students of higher education institutions of Russia and CIS countries trained in fuel, energy and mineral resources professions.
IMC Montan has been the championship’s partner for 5 years, after Managing Director Sergey Nikishichev, a distinguished expert in the mining field, was invited to judge the competition. Representatives of the Kuzbass office have been participating in the event for the last 2 years, strengthening the DMT brand further in that region. “As a leading mining consultancy in Russia, we recognise the importance of developing and promoting future talent in the natural resources sector”, says Nikishichev.
The 2017 Championship is being held from 28 February to 31 May and involves 47 technical universities from Russia and CIS countries. Participants include more than 3,000 students and about 500 experts, who are representatives of leading companies and organisations of the energy and mining industries, research and education institutions, federal and regional authorities.
In a unanimous decision by the experts, the Mining Engineering league qualification phase was won by the O*Key UGOL team, which can now participate in the 5th Case-In International Engineering Championship final in Moscow in May 2017.
All participants received memorable gifts and participation certificates, and the successful winners were also presented with prizes and winner’s diplomas from IMC Montan and DMT.
